Cracked Concrete Slabs - Carolina Foundation Solutions

Epoxy Injection & Stitch Welding

Depending on the severity and the cause of the cracks, it could require the epoxy injection repair or an epoxy stitch weld repair. This epoxy injection repair consist of applying or injecting a high strength epoxy compound within the existing cracks to bond and seal the severed areas. The epoxy stitch weld repair consist of injecting the epoxy material along with carbon fiber strips or staples, as a means of providing additional reinforcement. In the event that the cracks are a result of substantial movement within sections of the concrete and stabilization and potentially lifting of the slab is required then the most common options are the pressure grouting procedure, the polyurethane foam injection grouting, and/or the installation of helical piers with slab brackets.
