Carolina Foundation Solutions has long been an industry leader in successfully providing concrete slab repairs, performing concrete restoration work, and providing various grouting procedures. When issues with concrete arise, our goal is to provide cost effective solutions to preserve, restore, and repair concrete. Whether it is a need for providing structural repairs to cracks that have developed, sealing joints within concrete, stabilizing joints within concrete, structurally strengthening concrete, filling abandoned pipes, or lifting and leveling concrete slabs which have settled, Carolina Foundation Solutions can provide a solution.
The services we offer include pressure grouting, polyurethane foam injection, the installation of carbon fiber reinforcement, the installation of helical piles, joint stabilization, epoxy injection, and pipe filling.
Concrete is a very strong, durable, and reliable material, but concrete slabs and concrete structures are certainly not immune to problems which require repairs. Problems, such as settlement within concrete slabs and/or cracking within concrete, can often occur as a result of movement or issues within the underlying supporting soils or substructure. Carolina Foundation Solutions specializes in providing a range of many different techniques and applications to address these poor soil conditions as well as repair concrete slabs and structures that have experienced settlement. We are fully equipped and experienced to lift, level, and stabilize concrete slabs using methods that include pressure grouting, polyurethane foam injection, the installation of carbon fiber reinforcement, the installation of helical piles. We have a great deal of experience providing these solutions for concrete slabs, walkways, patios, and walls at office buildings, apartment complexes, residential dwellings, industrial warehouses, etc.
Whether it is a structural crack in a concrete slab that requires repairs, joints that simply need to be filled, or pesky leaks that need to be sealed CFS has the experience and know-how to provide the solution. Carolina Foundation Solutions has experience with stitch welding, the injection of high strength epoxy materials, the application of durable joint sealants, and the injection of leak seal resins.
Projects which include the abandonment of existing pipelines and/or filling existing voids require special equipment and the proper expertise. Carolina Foundation Solutions is capable of putting our years of grouting and pumping experience, our range of top of the line pump systems, and our knowledge of various grout mixtures to use. Carolina Foundation Solutions has a team of trained and certified employees which solely specialize in performing a range of grouting procedures.
Unstable soils, poorly compacted soils, eroded soils, and simply bad native soils are all soil conditions that do exist around and beneath infrastructures. These underlying and existing conditions can eventually result in settlement and damage to the structures or items which rest upon the soils. Carolina Foundation Solutions specializes in providing a range of many different techniques and applications to address poor soil conditions as well as repair the structures or items that have experienced settlement. The injection of a polyurethane foam is an excellent solution for soil stabilization and concrete lifting, especially when and where sink holes exist and voids exist.
Carolina Foundation Solutions is a certified installer for Alchemy Polymers. Alchemy Polymers offers various high strength products, ranging from their AP Lift series, to AP Soil series, to the AP Seal series. The AP Lift product consist of a two component polyurethane structural foam. This product line has been used on many different applications, ranging from lifting sections of concrete sidewalks which have settled, to supporting railway slabs that consist of concrete that is 4 feet thick. Using the polyurethane foam, Carolina Foundation Solutions has successfully lifted concrete slabs of apartment building that have settled, we have effectively stabilized warehouse floors which were rocking due to curling of the concrete slabs, and we have filled existing voids found present beneath transformer pads.
Advantages of Alchemy Polymers Polyurethane Foam:
Carolina Foundation Solutions also specializes in performing the polyurethane foam injection grouting procedure. Polyurethane foam injection grouting is a type of pressure grouting and is performed in a very similar manner to that of other grouting, but creates less mess, requires less time for curing of the materials, and can be done by drilling much smaller holes. Once holes have been drilled through the concrete, we inject an Alchemy Polymers polyurethane foam product, which is a two component, high strength, hydro-in-sensitive structural polymer foam. The material is light weight and provides immediate results. The injected materials will fill any voids that may exist between the bottom of the concrete slab and the top of the soils, will consolidate loose / soft soils located along the upper layers of the underlying soils, will create a more solid base which shall assist in preventing further and future movement, and will allow the ability to lift the settled areas of the concrete slab.

Carolina Foundation Solutions specializes in providing a range of many different techniques and applications to address poor soil conditions as well as repair the structures or items that have experienced settlement. The injection of a cement-based grout is a widely used and well known method of lifting concrete slabs which have settled. This procedure, which is often referred to as pressure grouting or slab jacking, can be a great alternative to replacing existing concrete slabs which have settled.
Carolina Foundation Solutions is equipped with multiple pumps – top of the line pumps that are very versatile. Therefore we have the equipment, experience, and capability to perform various grouting procedures. There are many different grout mix designs, which are used for a range of purposes and applications. In addition to the numerous pressure grouting jobs we have performed over the years, CFS also has a great deal of experience of pumping various grout materials with the purposes of filling voids and filling pipes.
Advantages of Cement Based Grout:
There have been huge advancements within the technology of epoxy and sealant materials over the years. Due to the adhesive properties and the wide range of epoxy and sealant products available, there are many potential applications and uses. Carolina Foundation Solutions has a great deal of experience with the injection and application of various epoxy and sealant products to meet many different job site needs. Our portfolio includes the injection of high strength epoxy resin products for the purpose of bonding cracks with concrete walls and concrete slabs, injecting epoxy sealants into cracks and joints of walls to prevent water intrusion, and sealing existing joints within concrete slabs of office buildings, warehouses, and other industrial facilities. When and where severe cracks exist within concrete, requiring structural repairs, Carolina Foundation Solutions is more than capable of performing the epoxy stitch weld repairs. These repairs consist of the injection of a high strength epoxy resin along with “stitches” which are created along the length of the cracks. The “stitches” provide additional reinforcement and tensile strength, further bonding the severed concrete.
