POLYURETHANE FOAM INJECTION

Carolina Foundation Solutions also specializes in performing the polyurethane foam injection grouting procedure.  Polyurethane foam injection grouting is a type of pressure grouting and is performed in a very similar manner to that of other grouting, but creates less mess, requires less time for curing of the materials, and can be done by drilling much smaller holes. Once holes have been drilled through the concrete, we inject an Alchemy Polymers polyurethane foam product, which is a two component, high strength, hydro-in-sensitive structural polymer foam.  The material is light weight and provides immediate results.  The injected materials will fill any voids that may exist between the bottom of the concrete slab and the top of the soils, will consolidate loose / soft soils located along the upper layers of the underlying soils, will create a more solid base which shall assist in preventing further and future movement, and will allow the ability to lift the settled areas of the concrete slab.

PRESSURE GROUTING

Pressure grouting is a cost effective method of providing repairs to settled or sunken sections of concrete slabs.  This type of repair is also often referred to as slab jacking, slab lifting, or mud jacking.  It consists of drilling small holes through the surface of the settled or sunken section(s) of the concrete slab and then pumping a cement based or mud based grout material through a hose into each hole.

INSTALLATION OF HELICAL PIERS WITH SLAB BRACKETS

Another common option for providing repairs to settled sections of concrete slabs is the installation of helical piers with slab brackets.  The helical piers transfer the weight of the concrete from the base of the slab down to a layer of suitable load bearing soils.  This method of repair is generally the most ideal when the underlying soils are soft and unstable at depths well beyond the first few feet from the surface.

Carolina Foundation Solutions specializes in providing many of the various repairs for cracked and settling concrete slabs.  We have years of experience performing pressure grouting, performing epoxy injection and stitch weld repairs, and installing helical piers.  We are equipped with the latest technology in concrete pumps, have invested in superior polyurethane foam injection systems, and use only the most reliable materials in the industry.  CFS is a certified CHANCE Installer and trained Alchemy Polymers installer.  CHANCE is the oldest and most trusted manufacturer of helical pier products in the world.  Alchemy Polymers is an industry leader, providing the most powerful polymer products around.
